Honda CBR650F :

The Honda CBR 650F is the highest displacement motorcycle to be assembled by Honda in India. The new Honda offering falls under the sports-tourer genre of motorcycles and will be sold only in exclusive Honda Wing World dealerships in 12 cities. The Honda CBR650F will be assembled at Honda’s plant in Mansesar, near Gurgaon and 95 percent of its components will be imported. Only the rest 5 percent components will be sourced locally. Initially, HMSI plans to manufacture two units of the CBR650F every day. The motorcycle looks very modern and is actually very compact for a four-cylinder motorcycle. With the kerb weight of just about ~215 kg (including ABS, all the fluids and full tank), it is definitely one of the lighter motorcycles available today. The engine is specifically tuned for low-to-midrange torque, so the CBR650F will have considerable grunt and great rideability, both on the highway and even in traffic. It promises to have a powerband that will be suitable for a wide range of riding styles. The Honda CBR650F will compete against the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja 650 in India, and as for the price, it is priced much higher, at around Rs 7.3 lakh.

Engine & Transmission :

Honda CBR 650F has been powered by a 649cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 16 valve, DOHC, in-line four cylinder engine that comes linked with a six-speed constant transmission system and wet multiplate clutch setup. The refined Honda churns out a net power of 85.8bhp at 11,500rpm along with a maximum torque of 63Nm at 8,000rpm. Furthermore, the mill has been assisted with Honda’s Programmed Fuel Injection system (PGM-Fi) that promises a crisp throttle response with an uninterrupted power delivery. The engine has a compression ratio of 11.4:1 and comes a 67mm x 46mm power oriented bore x stroke ratio. With this hardware configuration, Honda CBR 650F sprints from 0 to 100kmph in just 3.81 seconds and hits a top speed of 225kmph.

Tyres & Braking :

Honda CBR 650F progresses with grace over 120/70-ZR17M/C front and 180/55ZR-17 rear tyres that comes mounted over robust and lightweight aluminium black alloy wheels. The stopping distance of the bike is minimised by 320mm dual hydraulic disc brakes with twin piston callipers at the front and 240mm single hydraulic disc brake with a single piston calliper at the rear. The braking gets even more responsive with the help of a high-performance Anti Lock Braking System (ABS) added to the package. Honda has equipped the bike with reliable and durable 41mm telescopic forks upfront and single shock with preload adjustability at the rear.

Body :

The body dynamics of Honda CBR 650F have been crafted neatly to give it an aggressive look. The front profile is given a facelift as compared to the conventional CBR’s. It comes incorporated with a sharp drop down type headlamp with twin pilot lamps. The full fairing looks impressive that dresses the bike to make it look like a proper sports machine. The rear end comprises of a sporty seat that synchronises well with the overall body flow. A rectangular LED strip for the tail lamp section looks decent as well. The bike measures 2110mm x 755mm x 1145mm (L x W x H) along with a wheelbase of 1450mm, which gives it a respectable sporty stance. It has a ground clearance of 130mm and a fuel tank of 17.3 liter capacity.

Instrument console :

The console is fully digital, it has got fuel gauge, trip meter and clock apart from the usual speedometer and tachometer. It also comes with an electronic anti-theft device called Honda Ignition Security System (HISS).

Mileage :

Claimed mileage is 21 kmpl from Honda.

Colors :

The bike will be available in the following four attractive colors: Red, Candy Blue, Matte Black and Metallic Black.
